Cannot signin in cursor

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

I upgraded to the latest version cursor and after that, it went to ask for a signin. when I signin, I cant login

Steps to Reproduce

from cursor app (windows), click login
cursor will ask the account login
after it goes, it will ask you to login but before you were able to click Yes, login, it will go to Logging in and nothing happens

Expected Behavior

I should be able to login

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

I cant see the cursor. I cant login. cursor v2.1.50

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report.

Please try this workaround that helped in a similar case:

  • Right‑click the Login button on the sign‑in screen and choose “Copy sign‑in link”
  • Paste the link into your browser, complete the sign‑in, then return to Cursor

If that doesn’t help:

  • Temporarily disable your VPN/proxy/antivirus and try signing in again
  • Attach a screenshot of the sign‑in screen and any errors
