I installed the latest update and can no longer open old chat sessions. I’m using Editor Classic.
When I click the history icon and select an old chat nothing happens (I need the chat context).
I’ve been using Cursor for almost a year and half and was an advocate for getting everyone at my company to use it. Each update lately seems to break things. The performance is getting worse (very laggy UI), features are frequently broken. I’m spending more time than I would like just trying to get Cursor to work… It’s not good.
Steps to Reproduce
Use Editor Classic. Try to open an old chat session.
Hey, this is a known bug in 2.6.11 that’s specific to Editor Classic mode. Chat history doesn’t respond to clicks.
Workaround: click the double-arrow icon in the top-right corner of the chat panel. This will switch the view out of Editor Classic. After that, chat history should work again.
Thanks for the suggestion. The problem with using non-Classic layouts is that the floating review buttons don’t appear. If that problem would be fixed then I could use a non-classic layout. I’ve confirmed that there are still no floating review buttons in the latest build unless you use Classic layout.
I used the Cmd+E shortcut to switch to non-classic and back to classic (someone else suggested this) and when I switched back to classic It retains the tabs I had open, so that works as a work-around for now. Thank you!
