Unable to send requests since latest update

Describe the Bug

I just updated to version 1.2.4 and all my requests are failing with this error message:

“We’re having trouble connecting to the model provider. This might be temporary - please try again in a moment.”

Happening on all models I try, including Auto mode.

Steps to Reproduce

Update to latest version on MacBook.

try sending request on Agent mode.

Operating System

MacOS

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

VSCode Version: 1.99.3

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Thank you for the bug report. Could you please add a Request ID and which model you used, so this can be checked?

Please note that there were outages with AI providers over last few days which they have fixed, Does a new chat still have the issue?
