Unable to turn off the team rules while it's not been compulsory

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Unable to turn off the team rules while it’s not been compulsory. I’ve double-checked with my team leader that we don’t have a mandatory rule for the team. And the 2.2(and before) version of cursor was like , i cant just use the switch in the cursor setting to turn off team rules but if i start a new agent and turn it on and off, the rule may be turned off.But now i could not find any way doing this.

Steps to Reproduce

just by trying to switch off the team rule

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey, thanks for the report. That behavior is weird. If the rule isn’t required, the toggle should work.

I need a bit more info to debug:

  1. What exactly happens when you click the toggle? Does it not respond at all, or does it turn back on right away?
  2. Can you ask your team lead to take a screenshot from the dashboard cursor.com/dashboard?
  3. Check your browser console. Open Cursor Settings where you can see this rule, then go to Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console tab. Try clicking the toggle. Do you see any red error messages?

Let me know what you find. If we can confirm it, we’ll log a bug for the team.

The ui works perfectly well. And nothing happens in the console when i click it,but there’re 2 issues (seems irrelevant)

do we have any idea why this is happening yet ?

Thanks for your patience.

We’ve logged the bug and the team is aware. Your report with screenshots from the team lead was really helpful. The bug is being tracked, but we don’t have a timeline for the fix yet.

As soon as there’s any news, I’ll update this thread. Thanks for keeping us posted about bugs like this.
