Recently upgraded and pretty much lost all features in the chat window.
Previously chosen model name alone is listed.
Unable to type anything and send it out.
Unable to flip model because the model directory is pretty much empty in the drop-down.
Unable to toggle or there is no toggle to move between ask, agent, plan, mode etc.

Hey, thanks for the report. This looks like a severe UI corruption issue.

Please try clearing only the cache folders:

  1. Quit Cursor
  2. In Terminal, run:
    rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Cursor/GPUCache
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Cursor/CachedData
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Cursor/Cache
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Cursor/Code\ Cache
  3. Restart Cursor

This removes only cache and keeps your settings and extensions.

If that doesn’t help, try reinstalling Cursor:

  • Quit Cursor completely
  • In Terminal, run:
    sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Cursor

Reinstall Cursor from Download · Cursor
