Tried using the web agents from linear, but it keeps giving me this error:
No access to repository: https://gitlab.com/{our repo}. If necessary, update your GitLab connection in the dashboard. Specify a different repository with…
Even though we definitely DO give it access to the right repo (I even see it in the drop down from the Cursor web UI).
Steps to Reproduce
This is the second time I’m submitting this bug (clearly the forum also has bugs..).
Try to connect Gitlab and linear to cursor → tag cursor in an issue
Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue with GitLab group/team repositories and the Linear integration. Personal repositories work, but group ones don’t right now.
Quick question: is this a personal GitLab repository, or a repository under a group/team namespace?
If it’s a group repository, the team is aware of this limitation. Your report helps with prioritization, and I’ll make sure it’s linked to the existing tracking.
As a temporary workaround, if you have personal GitLab repositories or GitHub repositories, they should work with the Linear integration.
Yep, GitLab group or team repos via the Linear integration are a known limitation right now. The team is aware and tracking it, but I don’t have any timelines I can share yet.
For now, the workaround is limited to personal GitLab repos, or GitHub repos with the Linear integration. I know that’s not ideal for a team setup.
I’ll update this thread if there’s any movement on this.
