Ive recently been having quite a few issues with my cursor. The usual randomly uninstalling and having to be re-installed. Recently re-installed and was met with the following error:
cursor the window terminated unexpectedly reason crashed code 2147483645
I ended up deleting the cache files, restarted and still got the error. So I went to add or remove programs and noticed there are two cursor installations?
Hey, I think it’s because you have two versions of Cursor installed. You’ll need to uninstall both and then install the new version. If you can’t do this through Programs and Features, try going to this folder and find the uninstaller there:
Thanks but im getitng the error that the uninstaller doesnt even exist when i try and remove the second (older) version and when i check in the actual folder the file isnt there.
Sorry for the delayed response. Were you able to uninstall it? I tried this case, and I had to uninstall the new version first, then install the old one, uninstall it, and install the new one again.
I am having the exact same problem, were you able to finally uninstall cursor. If so how did you manage to? AppData\Local\Programs\cursor - didn’t work for me.
I was not able to uninstall. I think i need the older uninstall file that it calls for “Uninstall Cursor.exe” but not sure where to find older releases of cursor to get it.
I got it done using a third-party removal tool. I hate using them as they have a tendency to affect other files that you might not want. But, so the sake of getting it done, needs must.
