Upstream VSCode Version

Cursor is currently using VSCode 1.93.1 for few months,
but GitHub Copilot Chat is being consistently updated,
and currently its latest version requests VSCode >= 1.96 / 1.97.

Of course, Cursor is already providing almost same features of it (and I’m already Pro member of Cursor),
but as I’m student, Copilot is free,
so I use it when I used all amount of Cursor’s fast requests.

The latest Copilot Chat offers choice for several models,
but the compatible old version of it does not, only GPT-4.

I hope Cursor gets the upstream of VSCode as soon as possible.

Hey! Yes, you are totally right. We’ll be updating the upstream VS Code version in an upcoming release that’s not too far away. Can’t speak of a timeline exactly, but expect within a month as these updates can be quite heavy to make sure everything is working as expected!
