Hi! Thank you for your post. This is not a bug! The model picker has been recently updated so that now you can select from a model family in settings, and then customize the model’s reasoning ability from the prompt input box. So you didn’t lose any models.

GPT 5.4 for example instead of showing 4 models now shows 1 model and then you can customize the reasoning ability from the model selector.

Thanks for the rapid reply! I was having a panic attack about costs all of a sudden, and wasn’t sure if this was another bug or not.

Hello, I’d like to know if enabling fast mode in GPT 5.4 means there’s no 1MB context option available, or is this a bug on your end?

oh interesting, just saw that too

Your documentation states that enabling the MAX (Fast) mode automatically raises the context selection to its maximum. So why is it that enabling MAX (Fast) mode prevents the selection of the 1m context option? This should be clearly explained.

Hi @jojolionss Not a bug! This is intentional. FAST is only available with the smaller 272k context window. You’re right that this is not perfectly clear in our docs, I apologize for that.

I do want to clarify that MAX mode is different from Fast. Max mode principally enables you to use the larger context windows. You don’t need to have MAX mode enabled to use Fast mode
