Using Company-Provided Cursor Pro Account – Privacy Concerns?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Cursor Pro with my personal account (paid subscription), but recently my workplace offered to provide me with a company-sponsored Pro account.

Since I use Cursor both for work-related development and personal side projects, I’m considering switching to the company account and canceling my personal subscription.

However, I have a concern:
If I’m logged in with the company account and working on a personal/private project, is there any chance that my code, activity, or history could be visible to my employer or shared with the organization that owns the account?

I want to make sure my personal work stays private.
Does anyone know how Cursor handles this in terms of data separation and visibility between company and personal projects?

Hi @Budapestt. Your employer cannot see how you use Cursor. However, they may not be okay with you using their plan for personal work. That’s between you and them of course. In any case, you can switch between accounts by logging out/in to the account you want to use. You can do that in Cursor Settings. I hope that helps, Petros
