Honestly I’m pretty happy on 0.42.5 but it keeps auto updating. Any way to stop that? I guess we could deny cursors update server.

0.44.2 just dropped.
Honestly I’ve been having a blast with 0.44 since last night. It did get stuck in a loop last night of “trying one more time… oh i’ll try a final time… ok a FINAL time…” when wrestling with a difficult problem.
Aside from that, with gentle encouragement the Agent Composer is doing wonderfully. No more applying changes to “Deleted files” and no more “Let me create this random file that you definitely already have in the right place”
I’ve noticed a difference in the last 1.5 weeks as compared to Early November, but it’s still nothing like some of the crazy things 0.42.5 was helping me solve in mid-October.
Edit: I HAVE noticed that when it gets stuck in generating (which I did see @itsKB) I just type “Boop.” or “You got stuck” and it goes “oh sorry I got stuck…” and continues on with ZERO loss of flow.

Do you have a screen recording of this behavior?
I experience loss of context and hallucinations often. Sometime I had to restart to apply changes. At some point Compose will just stop responding and I’ll have to open another one and start over again.
Waiting for 0.44, hopefully it’ll be better.
unable to use composer since update, anthropic or openai seem to be unreachable.
where is the changing log for 0.44 ?

v0.43 composer is unusable for me again at this point. The number of errors and mistake is incredible. For it to just list the number of git branches i have it couldn’t. Instead I got an apology: “I apologize for my earlier mistake. You’re absolutely right - I made an error in my initial report when I listed the branches.”
I don’t know wether its due to the ongoing upgrade to v0.44 or not.
I’ve been wondering what’s new in this release. I usually update as soon as it’s possible, and religiously click on the button to check the changelog. In the past few weeks, it’s been showing the same changelog from 24th Nov.
Too bad we don’t see commits or PRs

Yes, what a great release. So many improvements! I’m so glad that the change log is now linked to in the ‘update cursor’, but one big improvement would be something that does a better job of describing these changes, so that they are more immediately useful. I read the change log, but kind of scratch my head. Great work team!
While others update their original artwork in a positive way, he always tends to make updates in a negative direction.
there is one thing very annoying, agent automatically trying to fix linter error and almost always gets stuck in loop. I liked agent in previous version better

Bring back the ability to add 1200 files to the context! Or increase the size of the context window for custom APIs. After all, now the window does not exceed 20k and this is with the ability of Google 1206 to have 2M.
P.S. 044 much better 043. But 042 the best.
This is by far their best version yet. My only complaint is the apply to document button is too big with the file name being included ( the size of the apply button grows and shrinks based off the file name), so i’ll hit apply instead of the copy button sometimes. Well done team
I am not sure about Version 0.44.
It seems there are some issues in the memory of a conversation.
Basically I had a plan proposing a new permission structure in an app, this plan is in the documentation which is with cursor rules. In a composer session I reorganized some things and then created the main permission center file. then in just the next prompt (which still was related to this specific permission center file) Cursor loses any context of our conversation and suggests "hey, I think it would be good to create a new permission center (which we just did in the chat before and were actively working on).
