Describe the Bug

Vim mode does not work on Cursor 0.43.6-build-241206z7j6me2e2-x86_64.Appimg in Linux.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Remove all local files in ~/.config/Cursor and ~/.cursor
  2. Open Cursor 0.43
  3. Choose vim
  4. Try and it does not work in Linux. It only shows “activating extension and does not work”

Operating System

Linux

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Cursor 0.43.6-build-241206z7j6me2e2-x86_64.Appimg

Additional Information

It only shows “activating extension” and does not work.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

The bug is fixed with version 0.44.5
