VSCode import not working

I have been using VSCode for a few years and wanted to try Cursor out. I installed it (v0.47.8) on ArchLinux and followed Cursor – Migrate from VS Code .

I open settings and click on import at

but unfortunately it seems like it’s a no-op. Unsure where/how I can gather further info about what’s going on. The VSCode version I have installed is 1.98.2 fwiw.

Hey, thanks for the report. It seems that importing from settings isn’t working at the moment. I’ll report this to our developers. However, you can try importing from the welcome screen when you first install Cursor. On the second step, there’s an import from VSCode, and it seems to work fine there. But first, you need to uninstall Cursor. Follow this guide:

Uninstalling doesn’t seem to work. I also rm -rf ~/.cursor, and when I download it still seems to have record of being installed before

This worked for me. I removed ~/.cursor and ~/.config/Cursor.

I don’t see a ~/.config/Cursor, just the ~/.cursor when I install. Is there another directory to remove somewhere? Having this issue with both macOS universal download and macOS arm

Oh sorry - I am on Linux, no idea about macos
