What now?
I guess Cursor is not affected, and I can see the extensions inside it on search.
As outlined in the comment on the issue you have referenced,
To my knowledge, Cursor connects to open-vsx already today (I just double checked and that is indeed the case) - so I do not think that product is directly affected by this change.
Since they locked it without a viable proposed solution: there is a still unlocked thread here though closed.
I added my 2 cents:
I’m not so certain. There are quite a few extensions I can easily install on VS Code in search with 1 click, that don’t even show up in Cursor, even when searching directly by id string.
I noticed the same in the watersports IDE as well.
In VSC those show up and install just fine.
So maybe its just that open-vsx is missing some, maybe not, but the removal of the manual download links 100% effects Cursor users when that does occur.
