Hi everyone,
I’m the developer of the FTP Mini extension and I’m experiencing an issue where my extension is no longer searchable in the Cursor Marketplace after a recent update.
Extension Details
Issue Details
- Previously worked fine and was searchable/installable through Cursor Marketplace
- After publishing the latest release, the extension completely disappeared from Cursor Marketplace search results
- The extension is still available and searchable on VSCode Marketplace (link above)
Has anyone encountered a similar issue or knows what might be causing this sync problem? Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

i also see that problem…plz solve this problem
Hey both – the marketplace shows extensions that are available on OpenVSX, which may differ from what you see in VSCode.
In this case, you can either try to get the extension published on OpenVSX, or try to install it manually.
If you’d like to switch the marketplace backend, we added a setting for that in version 1.1.3, though please note that switching the marketplace is not officially supported.

I downloaded the version 0.4.3 .vsix file from the VS Code Marketplace and manually installed it in Cursor AI, and it now works correctly.
I have found an alternate solution to fix the issue permanently after reading @danperks suggestion. Click on cursor in your mac menu bar > Settings > Vs Code Settings > Search for “Gallery: Service Url” > In the blank field, enter following link: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/_apis/public/gallery > Restart cursor and now you will see same vscode extensions that you see in vanilla vscode.

Those solutions did not work for me. I finally got it done by copying three folders:
%User%/.cursor/
%AppData"%/Roaming/Cursor
%AppData%/Local/cursor
The first one contained all the extensions.
