What happened to Composer, now all I get is Chat which is not good

Current version of Cursor using Claude-3.5 does not have the Composer anymore, just Chat which is basically worthless. Why did you remove Composer??

But agent mode in Chat still not nearly as powerful as Composer was. Why remove a great feature for less capable ones?

It has exactly the same functionality, it just changed its appearance.

Not really. Composer still much better with context than Chat in agent mode. Why take away such a great feature for inferior ones??

@deanrie - first, thanks for replying with the hint that the feature is now hidden. But let me also agree with the OP as follows:

  1. Moving a feature to where it is no longer visible is frustrating, so even though it’s still there, making it harder to find and use is indeed “not good”. The fact that you have already responded to this question at least twice should indicate that the UI change adversely affected users.
  2. A user who takes the time to give feedback is a valuable resource, so allow me to offer the friendly advice that when someone says a feature is not working as well as it did before, it’s a great idea to listen and find out what they’ve seen as opposed to denying it outright and,
  3. Subjectively, I have found Agent mode in Chat to be somewhat less helpful than Composer was.
