What's the difference between "Auto" and "default" models?

I see that in the Composer window, there’s the option of using “Auto” for the model, and in the Command-K inline window there’s an option for a “Default” model (see below).

What’s the difference between “auto” and “default”?

More generally, what do folks recommend for these settings for a Pro subscriber?

Composer box (see “auto”)

Inline Command-K box (see “default”)

Yeah CMD/CTRL K - default is not mentioned in docs

Also curious about the difference.

Docs say about auto: Cursor will select the premium model with the highest reliability based on current demand and best fit for the current task.

It would be nice to see what model is actually being chosen. Otherwise I suspect that it is just choosing the cheapest model rather than the best model for the task.

The lack of transparency is deterring me from using auto.

This! Its exactly what I’m worried about too.. Feels really sketchy especially considering other fuckups cursor has made in the past few months.
