Where do background agents run?

If I setup the Slack integration can I send cursor stuff on the go or from my iPad or do I need my desktop machine up and running?

Hi @tclark

Slack uses Background Agents that run in cloud. Best is if you configure a Background Agent once via Cursor desktop on a project and then set up Slack connection. You can then access through Slack @cursor with the details of the request similar like you would do it in Cursor itself. That would work via iPad and your desktop does not need to keep running for it to function.

Docu has more details:

Your code will run inside our AWS infrastructure in isolated VMs, and will be stored on the VM disks as long as the agent is accessible.
