Where have all the gemini MAX models gone from Cursor?

Do I have to add them manually or something? How can I add it as a MAX model?

Hey, you now need to enable this when selecting the model.

They are all max models - previously it was labelled and there was gemini-2.5-pro-exp with Max and without - not a great UX change but when you select it, it shows max in the model next to the agent box

I agree, this really isn’t great UX. If I understand correctly, this is the latest Gemini Pro model? Then why is it named so strangely? As end users, we don’t care about suffixes like -exp-03-25. We just want to use the latest and greatest Gemini 2.5 Pro. That’s it
