Hey, if this model is missing from the list, you can try adding it manually.

we see this across the board from all users in our org.
BTW tried adding manually and im getting this message:

All Gemini 2.5 Pro models, such as gemini-2.5-pro-preview-06-05 and gemini-2.5-pro-preview-05-06, point to the latest version, so you can safely use any of them.

Hey, so while we have removed the original gemini-2.5-pro item from the list, the existing options in the list should continue to work as normal!

@Matt_matt Can you try your API key with both -06-05 and -05-06?

yes, i have also tried API keys, i have even replaced the key with a new one. but still no change.
we just got a new update also, however it didn’t fix my issue. i presume something weird is going on. a few days before, my gemini-2.5-pro was writing story books out of no where. so weird. completely on its own… no errors when placing in my google API key.

This error usually appears when there is an override for the base URL of the OpenAI API key. Is this your case? If so, try disabling your OpenAI API key.

So why has the gemini-2.5-pro been removed and I dont see it in the changelog. Which this occurred immediately after I updated?

Edit: NVM yall pushed an update just now that fixed it

in new cursor update i can select gemini 2.5 pro in models list and it is working (1.2.0)

I can confirm the new early access update and disabling “override OpenAI Base URL” has addressed my issue. not sure about anyone else.
