After updating Cursor to version 0.50.6, I can now see Claude 4.0, but the Claude 3.7 option has disappeared. When I try to use Claude 4.0, I’m prompted to pay, even though I previously used Claude 3.7 without any charge. I’m requesting that the Claude 3.7 option be restored, as I don’t want to pay for the 4.0. This situation is quite frustrating and needs attention.
You can still add Claude 3.7 from Settings > Models
Our capacity for Claude 4 is limited at the moment due to the popularity of the model and therefore is not currently available in the slow pool.
Once it’s usage is stabilised and further capacity from our inference providers is available, it should be available in the slow pool soon, but for now if you are out of fast requests, you will need to enable usage-based pricing to use this model.
As @azizln has pointed out, you can still use the existing models via the slow pool by enabling them in Cursor Settings -> Models
On top of what @danperks said, it’s ‘SOTA’ and the newest model. Which means far higher costs per request from Anthropic to Cursor, and finally, to You. This is pretty common for all models and platforms.
