Why does cursor keep updating to 0.45.14 always even after I upgraded it to 1.0.0?

Describe the Bug

Every time I upgrade cursor to 1.0.0 it automatically downgrades to 0.45.14 after I re-open it. It’s super annoying. Not able to find setting to stop this.

Steps to Reproduce

No steps.

Expected Behavior

Once I upgrade to 1.0.0 it should not downgrade to 0.45.14 unless explicitly done.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, that’s quite strange. I’ll ask the team what’s wrong. However, as a workaround, you can temporarily disable auto-update in the settings by selecting “Never.”

I had a similar issue.

A duplicate window opened running 0.5 (I’m on 1.1.3)
It might’ve been 0.45.14 then updated to 0.5

(early release setting wasn’t changed)

Having same issue, Was on latest cursor version 1.2.X and it suddenly downgraded to 0.45 and nothing is working now

Hey, try this:
