I really hate it that every time a new model is added, it is automatically enabled and checked. For example, the gpt-4.1 model here. Then, if auto-select is selected in the agent, it will automatically enable this new model. But in the first few times, it suddenly became stupid. I clearly know that the claude series is the best to use. Switching to other models makes me visibly stupid. At this point, I can only manually disable the addition of new models. It’s really annoying. I’ve done this many times

I cannot agree more.
It is very annoying to realize that poor responses and answers from Cursor has been due that some random new model has arrived.
Please add setting to prevent new models to be selected by default OR at least give visible information if new models are activated.
