Window UI Sluggish on Mac and PC WSL2

Is there a work-around for window UI sluggishness on Window 10 WSL2?
Most of the time, typing in the chat is 2-3 character a second, and then the window crashes from (perhaps) a memory leak after 5-10 minutes.

  • My windows machine is 256GB Ram and 24Gig GPU running an i9 processor–certainly enough to run most applications and local models.

  • Running directly on Windows 10 WSL2 and remoting in from my macbook produces the same result.

  • From the latest official build, I upgraded to a nightly build Version: 0.47.3 (Universal) but that did not fix the problem

At this point, I’m ready to step away (from Cursor) and return to VSCode which does not have this problem.

Is there a work-around? I’m highly frustrated, and just want to get work done

Is there viable option with Cursor?
