I’ve never ever in my life went online to go to a company to tell them I love them.
Until today.
Cursor is by far the coolest and best thing that has happened to me in a very long time and I will tell you why.
I was a cofounder of a successful gaming company back in 2010/2011 in the early smartphone days. We made over 10MUSD revenue yearly.
This was an amazing journey and I realized that my future was in software development. But I was not a proper coder. I was not before, not then and not after. I was a creative soul with a lot of ideas and a “good enough” IT dude to know what’s possible and not. But I never really liked to go nitty gritty and to actually write code. I had to much undiagnosed adhd to spend hours to fix “your system version of gradle is not the same as the project folder on git” etc. etc.
And stackoverflow could only do so much about that.
Anyhow, I made an exit from the company and started many new projects. Some succesfull, some not. But I had issues finding staff to help me code the basic prototypes. I ended up being fooled and tricked many times by freelancers from the Philippines, India and Pakistan. I’ve spent thousands and thousands of USD on Fiverr and similar services. Always with dissapointing experiences in the end. They could simply not deliver quality on the Swedish level I was used to.
So after many projects, my energy was out. I was done with this shit. I tried to find some Swedish devs but the salaries are just redicilously high to make a simple prototype.
I was so close to quit this autumn. And then I went on a Flutter event in my city and a guy came running to me. “I’ve been thinking about you! I want to show you something” and he showed me Cursor.ai, your software that you have created.
And from that night, a month a go, my life has changed drastically. I’ve finally found a way to maintain my own codebase, be able to fix small bugs and pixel tweaking. This is a major difference for me and I will be forever grateful to the developer of this software.
I will do whatever it takes to make sure your company will be a success.
Every little feature is just perfect. The design and the workflow is absolutely brilliant. Any developer who still is not using Cursor, are missing out.
To be working at your company is to be part of something big. It’s like Apple in 1975. You guys are the future and as long as you continue on your mission, nothing will stop you. Everyone walking in your offices should keep your heads high and backs straight. You’ve done something very right here and trust your gut feeling.
