Cursor has been completely unusable for me today, I get this message on every request regardless of context or question.
“Your message is too long. Please try again with a shorter message and fewer/smaller attached items.”
Hey, have you tried starting a new chat?
I have the same problem, and starting new chat doesn’t work, even removeng chants, but I found an issue in cursor rules, if it automatically attached and very big then make it shorter or remove automatic attachment rules.
Seems its including your open file windows as default context (I closed a very big one after having the same continuous error even when restarting the chat) and it fixed the issue.
