I have just upgraded to 0.42.4. This entailed gathering training materials for a new chat as I am deep into a development project.
I upgraded as the release notes stated, " * Composer history lets you access previous composer sessions after restart. You can also edit and resubmit from previous messages within a session.".
Is Composer different than Chat?
Chat Blob Gets Sluggish - My chat from yesterday became sluggish by last night. I dealt with it because I did not want to retrain a new chat. However, the new chat in the upgrade is telling me it cannot access old chats.
Code Snippets in Chat - No Hyperlinks or references. With the new 0.42.4 build, when the AI chat prints code blocks, it is not publishing hyperlinks in Chat, or even references to the file to be changed. This is confusing as it is very consuming to hunt and peck for the right file to work on. Is this a bug or a feature in the new build?
I am also noticing that each chat seems to have its own personality.
Some chats are more helpful than others.
There seems to be a varying degree of common sense and engineering experience amongst chats.
This morning’s chat, which has been trained, is simply not listening to instructions. It is running ahead and making a ton of assumptions.
It is also mishandling code recommendations.
I am tempted to kill this chat and train another, but that is a long cycle to eat twice in one morning.
This chatbot is totally f’ing up. It doesn’t seem to know its own instructions.
It does acknowledge its errors when they are pointed out.
Also, it is continually printing out old code. I have repeatedly told the AI that this is distracting and to stop doing it but it insists on printing out stuff that is stale.

It is now printing hyperlinks to the files. Yay!
The hyperlinks are not functional. Un-Yay!
Now it’s providing phantom suggestions.
Time to kill the Chat.
What a waste of time.
Latest version seems broken for me too.

Lesson Learned: When assigned a Chat AI that is not functioning well, ditch it and start again quickly. The poor quality Chat AI will not improve and will wreak havoc if allowed.
