0.48 is a huge update!

I see, perhaps the cursor team can chime in @deanrie

Hey, what OS are you using?

Mac OS

I am on 47.9 and when I check for updates I get “There are currently no updates available”

Linux Mint

do I just uninstall and re-install?

I just attempted a download for linux and it downloads 47.9

Its not yet fully rolled out. I would wait if you are on Standard Updates and not on Early Access.

As Cursor team mentioned in the forum it will be mid week or so.

Still can’t SSH into Windows hosts

Hey, I fixed it by moving the repo to the other storage and the root cause is the node_modules/ folder whenever I am installing all of the modules it’s always not continuing the generating @ArtAndrew

Cursor users are not five-year-olds. Sure, even a five-year-old could use Cursor.

Yet, the Cursor development team seems intent on designing features and interfaces exclusively for five-year-olds.

delete the settings.json this is the root cause beacuse of this problem

Note that deleting the settings.json file will remove settings from that file.

As some users are not familiar with the Cursor IDE or vscode, posting workarounds that fix specific issues helps everyone.

It may avoid duplicate posts that things dont work and the Cursor team can focus on fixing actual issues instead of replying the same things on duplicate posts.

It also may show the Cursor team what issues still exist and they can check if it can be fixed in code directly.

have you enabled early access?

we’re rolling out v0.48, starting with users on the early access releases (opt-in from settings → beta).

yes.

The stability improvement of the MCP service is the one I feel the most about it

Yes and it runs the command from whatever directory it is currently ‘in’. I quit letting it execute commands.

I don’t understand why people are complaining about the UI all the time… it all both looks better and works better for every update, I love it.

I just wanted to chip in with this so you guys don’t get drenched in all the negative comments.

I barely login here anymore, since all you see is negative comments on updates lol

Did they bring back “Restore” after coding blocks? I’m still using 4.5.14 because it’s impossible for me to code without having the Restore button.

when can i get the 0.48? still on 0.47.8 and “Check for updates” say no

Hey, you need to enable early access in the Cursor settings if you want to get this version right now.

I use a mac, turned on early access, then restarted the cursor and the updates were not found. I currently have version 0.47.8.
