1.5.x: Drag-highlighting in chat input window un-highlights if cursor leaves input box

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

That is, say you’re editing something that takes more space than the chat window and you want to highlight a big chunk of the text to delete it or edit it. You cannot, as soon as the mouse moves outside the window it de-selects everything you’re trying to select. Quite the frustration. Also applies anywhere you’re drag selecting, if the mouse goes out of the input window, it unselects what was being selected.

Steps to Reproduce

Type some text. drag the mouse down to highlight more text, keep going until the mouse leaves the input box and it will un-select.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

also when scrolling in the input box it should NOT jump focus to the whole chat window when you reach scrolling end, it should stay confined to the input box. (e.g. you scroll up and suddenly when it gets to the end it scrolls the entire chat window and you’ve lost where you were).

Hey, thanks for the report. The team is already aware of this, we’ll fix it.
