Hey, thanks for the report. I’m seeing the same stack trace in a few recent cases.
Try this workaround that helped other users with the exact same error:
- Rename the project folder in File Explorer (for example
MyProject→MyProject_v2) - Open the renamed folder in Cursor
This resets a corrupted local index. Here are two resolved threads with the same stack trace: Connection Error / Stalled Agent requests for hours - #9 by Fares_Bendhiab and Connection error, again and again.
If that doesn’t help, please share:
- Network Diagnostics: Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics (screenshot)
- Console errors: Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console (screenshot if you see any red errors)
- Are you using a corporate VPN or firewall (Zscaler, McAfee, etc.)?
The team is aware of this issue. Over the past few days, a few users have reported the same stack trace.
