Cursor IDE

Describe the request

I would love for Cursor to build their own model atop DeepSeek 3.1 or some other leading open source model known for coding capabilities. I would much rather pay usage pricing for a model that goes directly to Cursor than be in a situation where Cursor is the middleman. I love the IDE and want to see it succeed and not be weighted down by what the big AI providers do.

Also I’m not talking about just hosting the model - I’d really like for them to pour resources into making it truly great.
