Adding project rules becomes skills in 2.3.8

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Adding a project rule(custom rule) becomes a skill. It create a SKILL.md inside the .cursor/skills/<rule name>. I expect this new version fix the bug which creates old .mdc files for rules instead of creating RULD.md files.

Steps to Reproduce

Just add a new project rule(custom rule) will see.

Expected Behavior

It doesn’t create rules.

It doesn’t matter with any model.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. I’ll pass it to the team.

I found that it only happens with my cursor accout logging by Google accout [email protected]. I’ve tested on various machines. When log in with that account, there’s an Import Agent Skills option in the Rules and Commands settings, see bellow
