After reboot PC - Cursor IDE just dissapear from computer

Describe the Bug

When I downloaded and installed Cursor IDE again - all extensions and IDE settings were dissapear. When I was shut down my computer yesterday evening - there are was no any windows warnings or running updaters or anything you can imagine. Just normal shutting down. Thanks a lot guys, now I need to spend a whole day to setup my IDE and project from scratch. this is not looks like finished product.. you still looks like local startup

Steps to Reproduce

  • probably wait until new update has come.
  • close IDE (trigger background updater)
  • at some point udpater will DELETE ALL IDE FILES???
  • shut down PC
  • ???
  • PROFIT

Expected Behavior

display any kind updating processing window or prevent windows from reboot/shut down during updating process.

Windows 10/11

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Ah sorry - all extensions has been installed in a while.. huh

Did you install it on a different drive? Because I think that’s the main reason (and I’ve had the same problem).

Its not solved, you should notify somehow about processing update. Its not actually user issue because user didnt know whats running in background. Thank you

The problem of lost extensions was secondar
