Hello.

Idk why, but when i shut off Cursor app (specific the Cursor Agents view), whole application disapears for couple second. Icon on Start panel (Windows 11) goes white, and like "app was moved or deleted..), dhen after while it turns back. WHile i shut off PC with running Cursor App, it makes obvisously too, bud due to shutting off, it dont returns and application was really deleted.
All of settings stays in appdata, but app dissapeared.

I dont know, in which category to put this, so please, move to right. Thank u.

Steps to Reproduce

After longer session, shut off the app.
I dont find out other beggins, at this moment, but i will see…

Expected Behavior

Cursor app dissapears.

At last Opus 4.8, but i have same problem with Composer 2.5 too

Hey there!

This is a known issue with the Windows auto-updater. When the system restarts during the update process, the update notification triggers the uninstall/delete phase on shutdown, but the system powers off before the install phase completes, leaving Cursor fully removed with no rollback mechanism.

This is an issue inherited from VSCode, and will be tough to fix. It’s on our roadmap, however,.
