Hey, thanks for the report. We’re seeing a few similar cases after the recent update, this is a known issue and the team is already looking into it.
Try a clean reinstall from the official site, it helped in a few cases:
- Fully uninstall Cursor
- Download the latest version from cursor.com
- Reinstall it
This should keep your workspace settings and project context, they’re stored separately from the app binaries.
If it doesn’t help, please share:
- Your OS (Windows/Mac/Linux) and version
- Open Task Manager / Activity Monitor, which exact process is using CPU? (Cursor.exe main process, extensionHost, something else?)
