This is a screenshot of the problem. I tried Agent mode or ask mode. This problem occurred in Claude 3.7, Gemini 2.5 and even GPT4.1.
y, me too
And when I check the recent requests on the Settings page, I can see that there is no error prompt, although it does not seem to consume my request count.
cursor makes release 0.49 by himself?)
I am also not able to see rules in cursor and generations in notebooks not showing either after upgrade to 0.49.x
Hey, v0.49 has gone out to a small batch of pre-release users right now, I’d recommend switching to Standard if you need Cursor to work immediately while we work on these issues!
Sorry for any inconvenience here!
Yep. I’m having issues as well. The Apply option on the code snippet in the chat is only appearing in very specific circumstances. I’ve tested creating comments, adding console logs, then moving simple code from one location to another in the same file. The first two scanerios work ok but anything more complicated then that and the Apply option doesn’t appear.
I fixed the issue. I went into /AppData/Roaming and renamed the Cursor folder to OLD_Cursor. I downloaded and installed Cursor again, added my project back and it seems to work.
How do I downgrade to standard?. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? Or is there a way to downgrade?
Yes, you need to reinstall
Same here
same. and all my rules content were gone
We think the “rule truncated” error is just a visual bug that we are deploying a fix for now, and we are investigating the rules editor not showing up properly.
@josca42 If you are still on v0.49, would you be happy to share one of the rules that is broken with me, and also check the console (by running Developer: Toggle Developer Tools
) for any errors that occur alongside this?
@interhin Not sure whats going on here, can you share the request ID?
Hey, do you have any files open at the moment? Many users have noted that the error appeared when they had a large file open, even if it wasn’t in context. If that’s your case, try closing all files and starting a new chat.
I tried, but it didn’t help.
It’s happening to me as well on every mode with no files open and a new chat. I’ve noticed the error doesn’t occur on all repositories, but I don’t know what’s different that makes it happen.
