Describe the Bug

The Agent in chat using Auto mode got stuck today in an infinite loop printing the same message in a rapid speed.

Steps to Reproduce

Not sure, first time happening. The agent scanned for references about components being used in the project. Using Agent, Auto mode.

Expected Behavior

Print it once then continue, instead of getting stuck in the infinite loop.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. Could you let me know if this happens in a new chat? Sometimes the model can get stuck in an infinite loop. Usually stopping the agent’s generation and making a new request should solve the problem.

Hey! No it didn’t occur in a new chat, but it wasn’t too long either. It did quite large additions code wise, and then it tried to fix its linting errors without success. Somewhere around then it started.

Could you share the request ID? First, you’ll need to disable privacy mode.
