V1.4.3: Agent getting into endless loops

Describe the Bug

Using Auto and Gemini 2.5 Pro on v1.4.3 of Cursor, the agent gets into endless loops sometimes. It has done this when explaining changes after an implementation, repeating the same paragraph endlessly until I stopped it, and also when displaying an internal error message “Model provided invalid arguments to grep tool”

Steps to Reproduce

During standard agent work

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. Does this happen when switching models within the same session, or in a new chat? Also, could you share the request ID? First, you’ll need to disable privacy mode.

It doesn’t require any model switching. It just occurred again on a one shot implementation using Gemini. I have submitted an issue via Cursor by clicking ‘Report Issue’ and I included a link to this issue in the forum. Is that sufficient or still prefer me to share the ID and disable privacy mode? I don’t mind if that;s helpful.

I think you did everything right, thank you.
