Agent chatbox deselects itself after latest update, preventing typing in the middle of sentences. This is very frustrating.

Steps to Reproduce

Just type normally in chatbox and in a few seconds it will happen.

Expected Behavior

Pointer not dissapearing

Hey thanks for the report. The issue with the Agent chatbox losing focus while typing is a known problem the team is working on.

Try this for now:

  • Create a new Agent chat Cmd+N or Cmd+T
  • Check Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics for network issues
  • Disable extensions temporarily: cursor --disable-extensions
  • Open another workspace or empty Cursor window and see if the problem repeats

I’ll pass it to the team for prioritization.
