Agent Mode Missing (even with a new session)

Hello! Similar to these issues:

My composer mode is, as of updating to a new version today, missing the normal/agent mode toggle.

In the threads I’ve seen, I’ve seen that starting a new chat / session (by clicking the plus button near the top right of the composer pane) fixes the issue. That’s not the case for me. Or is a ‘new session’ something else entirely?

Reloading the window via command palette doesn’t help, nor does switching between control panel, bar or pane mode.

That said, even though Cursor literally just updated 5 minutes ago (after having this issue), I notice that the version on the website is 0.47, whereas I’m on version 0.42. I’ll try updating and report back!

haha ok updating did fix it! I thought I’d make this post anyway and leave this here in case it helps someone else having the same issue

odd that the auto-updater in cursor didn’t actually update me to the most recent version :thinking:
