I no longer have the composer tab or agent feature, just the simple chat and then “apply in editor” workflow. No idea why, searched internet, asked AI, browsed cursor settings. No clue.

Cursor version (e.g., Windows, 0.x.x).

Hey, can you confirm that you haven’t hidden the activity bar? Also, what happens if you press Cmd + I, does it open the Composer?

@deanrie I have the composer tab but no agent … just “normal”. happened this morning.

Hey, what happens if you create a new Composer session by clicking the + button at the top of the window? Will it bring back the mode selection?

yeah, that fixed it. any reason why it was disappearing?

Mode selection is only available in a new session, you can’t change it in an existing one.
