Agent not working with multiple projects in workspace

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I have added 2 projects into my workspace and wanted to work with any Agent in both projects. Happening with all Agents I tried (Opus 4.5, Gpt 5.1 codes max extra heigh fast). Both projects work with agents when run in single workspaces/single windows.

When having both projects in one workspace, the agent starts and flips back. So there is no feedback, no error nothing.

Its for all modes (Plan, Agent, Ask)

Steps to Reproduce

Place 2 projects into 1 workspace and start an agent to interact with them.

Expected Behavior

Agent should start working.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. We see several regressions in version 2.1.50 and we’re working on a fix.

It looks like a path handling bug in multi-project workspaces: Constant "path should be a `path.relative()`d string" error

This is still an issue, can’t really get my work done at all.
