Agent unable to generate any code?

Started having this issue last night with claude 3.7 sonnet where it would not be able to generate any code for me. I seen the update cursor button, clicked it, had trouble updating, and finally got the new update to work by downloading the installer. Well, in turn, I had received the new update with the new UI and such, but I still cannot generate any code from 3.5 sonnet, 3.7 sonnet, or any other agents. Started happening out of nowhere last night. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi, I have the same problem. No errors, it just says “Stopped working”.

Been trying all day and wasted alot of premium credits while doing this… I just hope the Cursor Team is aware of this issue?

hi! sorry for the late reply had to step away for a moment, however no errors, it is displaying the same as what is in the pics that others have posted. very odd issue and only seemed to start happening around 1AM CST last night and has carried on through to today. I was able to get it working for a few generations, however it seems to be broken again. Unsure of what I did to get it working honestly, I think just restarted Cursor a bunch, but that was just a temp fix

Also seemed to carry over from the previous version of Cursor to this newest one. It started happening on the previous version, I updated after it started happening last night, and it is still happening on this ver if that helps any :smiley:

for me the autocomplete stopped working…

Same error here. Not working since Friday but it does consume fast requests

I have been having the same issue but have found a work around, the issue I believe is the apply model in the background when making large changes to a single file.

For example generate me X number of articles on page Y resulting in a large number of new lines of code. To get around the issue I explicitly state “please apply in chunks as the apply model keeps failing on large changes”. It then breaks down the work into more manageable chunks and has since stopped failing.

I still have the same problem, exactly like the screenshot i shared yesterday. I m really frustrated now…
