Agents are responding extremely slow

I use Cursor since April 2025.

Recently the Agents respond extremely slowly.

Please let me know if there is anything I could set to make it faster. I already choose “Auto” mode instead of specifying a particular model.

Here are my configurations:

Cursor Version: 0.27.3
OS: Ubuntu 22.04 (remote SSH)
Agent Model: Auto (currently gpt-4o)
Network: Wired, no VPN
Steps to Reproduce: Ask the agent to refactor a Python file (~200 lines)
Logs: [attach relevant log files]
Additional Info: This started after the last update. Other AI tools are fast on the same network.

Hey, does starting a new chat fix this?

Also, if you have lots of chats, try deleting some, as it’s been known that have lots of historic chats can slow things down a lot!
