Using Cursor, I SSH into more machines and clusters than I wish I had to – I think 11 with some regularity.

As my AGENTS.md, Skills, etc. grow, it gets hard to keep them in sync. It would be nice if Cursor helped. E.g., they could be cloud-synced like settings, or loaded from the client machine.

Hey, thanks for the request. I understand the issue with keeping AGENTS.md and Skills in sync across multiple SSH machines.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in sync for AGENTS.md or Skills yet. Here are some temporary workarounds:

  • Use a Git repo for .cursor/{agents,skills} and commit and pull on each machine
  • Use a bash script to sync from a central source, example in this thread Support Claude Skills - #7 by ultrawideturbolife
  • Use a symlink to shared NFS or shared storage, if your infrastructure supports it

Install a decent terminal MCP, like terminal_mcp which has included sftp etc and long-lived sessions, and then tell Claude to either
a) sync them (whenever you need that), or
b) to set it up so they auto-sync for you.

Opus-4.5 is mind-blowingly next-level amazing at doing excellent devops.
