In the Agents sidebar project list, two UX gaps make it hard to manage many projects:
Open project folder in OS file explorer
There’s no way to click/right-click a project and open its folder in Windows Explorer (or the equivalent on macOS/Linux). This would be very useful for quickly jumping to the project files outside Cursor.
Collapse / expand project groups
Projects currently show their chats expanded, and there’s no collapse control per project (and no “collapse all”). Please add expand/collapse for each project section, plus an optional collapse-all action, so the list stays readable when many projects have many chats.

Collapse and expand projects: you can already do part of this in the current UI. Sidebar sections can be collapsed, and for collapsing in bulk, check the sidebar customize menu. Give that a try and let me know if it covers your use case. If you specifically mean per-project collapse for the chat list and it does not work the way you expect, share a bit more detail and I can file it as a separate request.
Open project folder in the OS file explorer: this is not available on project rows in the Agents sidebar right now. The menu only supports Open in IDE. The request makes sense, I logged it as a feature request. This has come up in a few different forms before, so upvotes and activity in the thread help with prioritization.
I’d like to request an option to quickly open a project’s local folder from the project or workspace list.
When right-clicking a project, the context menu could include:
Reveal in Finder on macOS
Show in File Explorer on Windows
Open in Files on Linux
Copy Project Path
Currently, when I need to locate a project folder, I have to manually find its path in the system file manager. This is inconvenient, especially when managing multiple projects with similar names.
Expected interaction:
Right-click a project in the Recent Projects / Workspaces list → Reveal in Finder / File Explorer.
This would make it much easier to browse generated files, copy project folders, manage local files, or open the directory in other tools.
