Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue tracked here: Cursor IDE chat sometimes hangs waiting for a response that never arrives
To help the investigation, please share:
- Which AI model are you using: Auto or a specific one (Claude Sonnet, GPT-4, etc.)?
- Request ID: when the chat hangs, click the three dots (⋯) in the chat window → “Copy Request ID” (first disable Privacy Mode in Settings → General if needed)
- Network Diagnostics: go to Cursor Settings → Network → run “Network Diagnostics” while the chat is stuck and share the results
- Network environment: are you behind a corporate firewall, VPN, or using Cloudflare Zero Trust?
