AI Pane shows stale list of files to review

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

They AI Pane lists files for review, however the changes have already been reviewed, accepted, committed and pushed to github. The list cannot be cleared by restarting Cursor or by any other means I have discovered. My screenshots show a list with just one such file. I closed a chat that had a stale list of 14 files. The only workaround seems to be starting a new chat.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. request changes in AI pane
  2. list of files to review appears in the bottom of the pane
  3. accept the changes
  4. list persists and cannot be cleared. It shows a Review button
  5. click Review
  6. files open. There is no option to accept changes.
  7. in fact, the changes are already reviewed, accepted, pushed to Git and merged.
There is no way to defeat this list. It persists and grows.

Expected Behavior

Clear files from the list once they are reviewed

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known bug with the file review list in version 2.2.x - there are already several similar reports:

Try this workaround:

  1. In chat history, find recent messages and click Review
  2. For all files with review controls, explicitly click Keep All or Undo All
  3. Restart Cursor

If that doesn’t help, please share the Request ID of the last Agent operation (chat context menu > Copy Request ID) and I’ll add your report to the existing ticket for the engineers.
