Allow hiding primary bar navigation

Not able to hide an icon of an active feature in the primary bar. Am I missing something or it cannot be removed at all?

Thanks for the tip. Now, instead of the icon I get a panel saying Explorer.

…which is the same I have in VSCode. Now hoping that they allow removing notepads which I (and all of my colleagues / friends) don’t use.
