In Vscode, the left column with the file system can be dragged to the side and closed. Cursor can’t do this.
This is just one small nice detail that would make cursor a little better when i have multiple split windows and need to see the words bigger
They just released a new update today to bring back the old vscode style primary bar. You can activate it in the settings:
I had the same issue and my fix was putting the left side bar and the right chat bar on keyboard shortcuts. ctrl-capslock and ctrl-tab respectively. This way I could easily switch them on and off.

I am fighting with the actual cursor suggestions obscuring my code as I try to read through my code. I like the suggestions but could they be in the ai chat pain or something else. When there right over my tool tip I get that it’s immediate feedback but it makes it hard to read over the code.
I have attached images to show the issue.
